At Minefictions we want each and every user to feel warmly welcome in the community. There are times however where we have to take action against certain users. If they break a rule, they may be let off with a warning, but if they do it again, we may have to punish them by temporarily banning them.

There is one good way to avoid a ban or warning, that is don't break rules in the first place! Of course, apologising after breaking rules is a good thing to do, but it doesn't change that you did break them.

Usually when we ban you if needed, we allow you your message wall. You will usually be sent a message on your wall saying you have been blocked, which you can reply to in order to contact the blocking admin.

Usually there will be a reason behind your ban. Did you spam? Or vandalise? Well the best thing is to simply wait out your block and not do it again. If you believe your ban was a mistake, you can respond to the message on your wall saying you're blocked and discuss it with the blocking admin.

If the admin does not budge, then you will have to accept the block. We rarely permaban anyone, so I would recommend waiting your ban out and not breaking the rules again. One thing for sure is do not continue to use your message wall and constantly beg to be unbanned, as you will most likely have your block duration extended and your message wall revoked.

In some cases, where we may have to permaban a user, we usually put up a poll to see what the community thinks. Whatever punishment with the highest votes will be given to the user, with the only exception being sockvoting (where a user creates sockpuppet accounts to vote multiple times).

Minefictions is devoted to being a community that is meant to be friendly and welcoming. To make sure of this, we ban those who are being disruptive to the community, but we usually try to keep everyone here.
